Affiliate terms

These terms cover the CutSmith affiliate program. By applying you agree to them. Plain words, and we mean them literally. They sit alongside our general Terms and Privacy policy.

Joining

You apply on the affiliate page. We approve every affiliate by hand and may decline an application without giving a reason. Once approved you get a personal referral link, and a personal code once card checkout opens.

What you earn

30% of every payment a customer you referred makes to CutSmith, for as long as they remain a customer. There is no cap on how many customers you refer or how much you earn. Commission is calculated on what the customer actually pays, after discounts and before tax, and it is not paid on refunded or charged-back payments.

How referrals are tracked

A customer counts as yours when they sign up within 60 days of clicking your link, or, once codes are available, when they enter your code at checkout. If a customer has used more than one affiliate’s link, the last link they clicked before signing up wins. You can’t refer yourself or an account you control.

Payouts

We pay monthly, for commission from payments that have passed our 30-day refund window, once your balance reaches $50. Payments go to the payout account you give us; you are responsible for any tax on what you earn. CutSmith is in beta: commission starts with each referred customer’s first payment.

How you may promote CutSmith

• Always disclose. Say plainly, wherever you share your link or code, that you earn a commission. This is required by law in many places (in the US, by the FTC).
• Don’t bid on “CutSmith” or misspellings of it in search ads, or use it in a domain name.
• Don’t send spam, make claims about CutSmith we haven’t made, or promise results.
• Don’t offer our customers cash back or rebates from your commission.
• Use the brand kit we give you; don’t alter the logo.

Ending

You can leave the program at any time. We can remove an affiliate who breaks these terms, and commission earned by breaking them is not paid. If we change the commission rate or these terms, we tell affiliates by email at least 30 days before the change applies.
